The applications from the dovecher.tv platform use CasparCG as an “engine”, which enables three different ways for creating graphic elements. The first way is to create an image (static graphic element) or a video file (animated graphic element). The second way is to create a Flash Template (FT), and the third is to create an html5 web page. It is important to know that all graphic elements that are prepared must be in the size of the format in which they will be broadcasted.

IMAGE OR VIDEO FILE
If we do not have text that is variable on the graphic element, e.g. channel logo, element can be created as an image or video file in any of the programs for photo and video editing. It is necessary to position the element we want to display on a transparent surface with the size of the format in which the channel is being broadcasted.

FLASH TEMPLATE (FT)
FT is used for graphic elements in which there is a variable text, e.g. “NOW” (Currently on the program). The application will send to the FT file a text to be displayed and the text will be displayed in the way it was prepared in FT. FT can be used in combination with an image or video file in such a way that a text will be displayed over the FT, and an image or video animation will be used as a background. It is also possible to use only an FT file that will contain both text and animation or image, which is recommended for the sake of better synchronization of the background image and the text of the graphic element.
To create Flash Template files, you need to have Adobe Flash CC and the CasparCG Template Generator 2.1.2 CC plug-in installed, which allows you to translate the created flash file (swf) into a flash template file (FT) that can be played in the CasparCG “engine”.
CasparCG Template Generator 2.1.2 CC can be downloaded from http://casparcg.com/download.html .
HTML5 is a new standard in creating web presentations and it allows the creation of pages without plugins such as FLASH, Silverlight, etc. A web page created in the HTML5 standard can be displayed in the CasparCG “engine”, so that the page will not have a background (which would cover the broadcast image) and an element will be positioned on the web page itself. The text that applications send to an element is displayed on the page using a Java script that is implemented in the page code.
PARAMETERS WHICH APPLICATIONS SEND TO THE TEMPLATE
In each of the sections of the knowledge base, for applications which use graphical elements, you can find the parameters that a particular application sends to the template.
