Selecting an asset in the list and clicking the “SPACE” key on the keyboard will open the asset preview window:
1 – Asset overview window
2 – The position where the video view is currently located expressed in the format HH:MM:SS:MS
3 – The name of the asset and the date when the asset was created
4 – Graphic display of the current position in relation to the entire asset
5 – Asset review controls
6 – PROXY/ONLINE
7 – EXPORT FRAME
8 – Information about the current playback position (TimeCode)
9 – Broadcast information
10 – Space for entering keywords
ASSET REVIEW CONTROLS
- Clicking the rewind button will return the asset to the beginning.
- If the asset is paused, clicking this button will start playback
- Clicking on pause will stop the playback of the asset.
PROXY/ONLINE
Buttons to select the version of the asset we are currently viewing. The default version is a proxy file, for faster access. In case the proxy is not created or is not available for some reason, the ONLINE (original) connection will automatically start. Changing the version is also possible by clicking on the desired version.
EXPORT FRAME
By clicking the export frame button, we can create an image from the currently positioned frame in the asset preview window (1). Clicking the button will open the image capture window:
a – photo display
b – space for assigning the name of the photo
c – space for typing keywords
d – buttons to cancel and take a photo
INFORMATION ABOUT THE CURRENT PLAYBACK POSITION (TimeCode)
There are two types of time code. On the left side is the timecode that indicates the time from the beginning of the file, and on the right side is the time relative to the recording time.
The difference between these two timecodes is that in the first the starting time starts from 00:00:00 and in the second from the real time when the asset was recorded, eg 15:03:47.
BROADCASTING INFORMATION
The asset broadcast time viewing option is only available if D.PLAY (playout) is used for broadcasting the program. In other cases, this window will be empty.
KEY WORDS
The asset search is performed by the name of the asset and by keywords, if they are defined. Keywords are defined in this window. Keywords are entered without punctuation and separated by a space.
After entering the keywords, click on the “UPDATE” button.
KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS FOR USING THE ASSET VIEW
Esc – exit from asset overview.
Mouse wheel – If the mouse is positioned in the asset preview window, the mouse wheel can be used to fast forward and rewind.
SPACE – By clicking on the space key, we will pause or start playback. (play/pause)
. – Move one frame forward.
, – Move one frame back.
M – Change between muted and muted state (Mute/Unmute).
9 – Decrease the volume.
10 – Increase the volume.
