If the duration of the asset in the sequence is small compared to the display of the entire sequence (b), the display of the asset in the timeline will be small and difficult to work with.

By clicking the “+” and “-” buttons (a) we can increase or decrease the size of the preview in the timeline.

4) The timeline of the duration of the entire sequence

5) Footage layer

Assets or parts of assets located within this layer are used as video overlays for assets in the Main layer. The Footage layer view is located at the top of the preview screen.

6) Main layer

Assets or parts of assets located within this layer are used as the main ones to create the sequence. The Main layer display is located in the lower part of the preview screen.

Assets in the Footage layer and Main layer can be added to the sequence in two ways. By dragging from the list of all assets to a certain layer or by double-clicking on an asset in the list of assets. If double click is used, EDIT IN SEQUENCE window will pop up where you can modify asset and add it to Main layer.

The asset added to the footage layer has a mutated sound by default.

An asset added to the main layer has the first audio channel turned on by default. All available channels can be seen on the asset line and it is possible to turn them on or off by clicking.

The red or green line across the asset line represents volume.

Right-clicking on an asset in a sequence will open an additional menu:

Edit– Selecting the Edit option will start the process of selecting the part of the asset that will be used in the sequence. The process of selecting a part of an asset can also be started by double-clicking on an asset in the timeline or double-click on asset in list of all assets..
