RDS (Radio Data System) is a digital data transmission system through the VHF transmission network. The system sends radio receivers information such as the time, the name of the radio station, the program that is being broadcast, etc. If the station in RDS broadcasts the name, the name of the station will be displayed on the receiver. Stations that broadcast traffic information will, by sending a TA signal, interrupt the current operation of the radio receiver in favor of the information broadcast by the station.
