Moving asset to new location

Moving asset to new location

Transferring assets to another location is done in the D.MAM application. In the list of assets, it is necessary to right-click on the asset that we want to move to another location and select the “MOVE” option from the drop-down menu.

It is possible to select multiple assets in the asset list and then right-click on one of the selected assets and select the “MOVE” option.

The “Move Asset(s)” window will open.

FIELDS AND BUTTONS IN THE “MOVE ASSET(S)” WINDOW

2 – Move Location
3 – Information on the total size of the asset
4 – Priority setting

1 – LIST OF ASSETS SELECTED FOR MOVEMENT (MOVE SOURCE)

This is a list of all assets that have been selected for relocation. By clicking the “X” button in the line with the name of the asset, the asset can be deleted from the list. The deleted asset will not be transferred to another location.

2 – LOCATION TO WHICH ASSETS ARE MOVED (DESTINATION)

This is a list of all locations (folders) available in the system.

It is necessary to click (select) the folder to which the selected assets are transferred.

NOTE: Only folders previously assigned to a logged-in user, a user group, or everyone for use are visible in the list.

4 – PRIORITY SETTING.

When a MOVE task is created, it will be executed when there is free space in relation to the tasks that do the transcoding of files in the system. With the help of this option, it is possible to set the priority of move tasks so that they are done earlier.

5 – CANCEL/PROCEED

By clicking on the “CANCEL” button, we will cancel the transfer of files to another location.

By clicking the “PROCEED” button, a “MOVE” task will be created.

In the asset list, in D.MAM, next to the asset icon, a blue circle will appear indicating that the asset is being moved to a new location. When the move is complete the circle will disappear.
