Media Paths tab

Media Paths tab

1 – Select media folder,
2 – Button to assign folders,
3 – Button to add and delete path,
4 – List of created paths.

1. SELECT MEDIA FOLDER

Clicking on the button with the image of the folder will open a new window for selecting the path to the main MEDIA folder (the folder in which all other subfolders with assets are located).

 

It is necessary to select the MEDIA folder and click on the “OK” button. The path we selected will appear next to the button with the folder image.

2. ASSIGN FOLDERS

Clicking on this button will open a window in which it is possible to determine which user has access to which folder.

a) – Space for searching by user name
b) – List of users matching the search criteria
c) – List of all available folders

By clicking on username and then clicking on the checkbox next to the folder name, the assignment will be made.

3. ADD AND DELETE PATH

Clicking the “+” button will open a new window to select the path to the folder where the assets are located.

 

It is possible to add a path by selecting a folder in the list and clicking the “OK” button, as well as by dragging (Drag&Drop) a folder from the list of folders to the list of paths.

 

By clicking on the path that we want to delete from the list of paths, and then clicking on the “-” button, a confirmation window will open:

 

By clicking on the “Confirm” button, the selected path will be deleted from the list, and by clicking on the “Cancel” button, the deletion will be cancelled.

4. LIST OF CREATED PATHS

 

en – Turn paths on/off. By clicking on the button to turn the path on and off, we can choose whether a certain path will be included in the search or not.
name – The name of the folder on the disk.
lifetime – The time after which the files in the folder will be deleted from the storage.
Path – The path to the folder.
No – The number of assets that are in the folder.
used/free size – Information about the used and free space on the disk where the folder is located.
max size – Maximum size of “watch” folder in GB.
Appr – Indicates whether assets that are ingested into that “watch” folder are immediately approved or require editor intervention.
Com – Every asset that is uploaded to this location will automatically get a “Commercial” tag.
Mus – Every asset that is uploaded to this location will automatically get a “Music” tag.

target – Indicates whether the ingested material is transcoded to another format and location.
