D.INGEST IS DESIGNED TO FIT IN WITH YOUR WORKFLOW
It is a powerful yet easy-to-use solution, which significantly improves the ingestion process of a broadcasting system –
it helps you to orchestrate the process of ingesting media into production and nearline storage. It can be used in
broadcast studios, mission critical archive operations, control rooms and media monitoring centers.
SOME OF THE FEATURES
There are 16 recording channels divided into 4 panels and additional panel for card ingest. D.Ingest supports physical ingest (from Blackmagic Decklink cards), but you can also ingest directly from IP stream.
You can be sure that all of your files will be ingested. Choose where your ingested files will be located.
Location can be local, on a disk or on a local network, but also a remote FTP site.
Define inputs and recording profiles
Define exactly what will be recorded from every single input channel. Chosse whether you will record from
Blackmagic Decklink cards or frequently used IP streams. It is possible to change the settings for every input channel at any point. You can also choose a number of assets from your database and add them to desired recording.
Preview and audio layout are also available. Predefine recording profiles (desired format, location)
so you can choose them on the spot, change or add new profiles as needed.
All that is left is to enter the name of a recording and press the “REC” button.
Ingest from P2, Sony and SD cards is also supported. When you insert P2 card, all the files will be listed in SOURCE window.
With the simple dran and drop you can move them to a SELECTION window and they will be in an order in which you moved them. If you wish for files to be sorted, you can choose DATE SORT option. Information like creation date, duration time and
name for every file are displayed on the screen. Choose a target (format, location) and mode, and D.Ingest creates a Task and puts it on the list of tasks. You will have the estimated time for finnishing tasks from the list.
While the D.Ingest is performing a task, you can add more task to the list without interrupting the current process.
Raw, Transode and Transcode Segmented
Choose Raw mode and ingest your files as they are, just enter the name of the folder where they will be located. You can also choose Transcode mode and your files will be transcoded into one file with the desired format, in this case you have to enter the name of the new file. If you choose Transcode Segmented, your files will be ingested separately, just like in the Raw mode,
but you can choose the format you want them to be transcoded to. Name of the folder where files will be located is required
in this case, too.
It can be challenging for businesses to ingest data at a reasonable speed and process it efficiently, but with our D.Ingest all your troubles are in the past!
